The Audiometric room is an innovative space designed for hearing examinations. The room itself is designed with double-layer soundproof windows, soundproof doors, and soundproof walls, allowing for a reduction in external noise by up to 30 dB (depending on the level of external disturbance).
SP SONIC audiometric booths are built to block outside noise so hearing tests with an audiometer give accurate, repeatable results. Each booth has connection panels for audio signals and USB, and is designed to OSHA 1983 and ANSI S3.1-1999 requirements for hearing test rooms.
Walls are galvanised steel with powder coating, lined with glass wool for sound absorption (NRC 1.00, SAA 0.98 to ASTM C423-99a). The soundproof door closes with a magnetic lock and rubber seals, and the double-glazed window with an air gap keeps sound out while LED lighting gives silent illumination inside. The overall sound insulation is STC 42.
Standard models range from compact demountable booths to 1.6 × 1.6 m rooms, and every booth can be built to the size your clinic needs. Our engineers handle design, installation and after-sales service.
